Cooking Information
Remove the boneless stuffed chicken from the fridge and take off all the packaging. Allow the chicken to come to room temperature for at least 1 hour before cooking. This ensures even cooking throughout. Set your oven to 190 degrees C ( 375F ) or gas mark 5. The general cooking time is 40 minutes per kilogram ( about 18 minutes per pound ). Since the chicken is 2kg it requires 1 hour and 20 minutes to cook, for added assurance you can add 20 minutes to the total. To ensure that the chicken is fully cooked, the internal temperature should reach 75 degrees C ( 165F ) when checked with a meat thermometer. The juices should run clear when the chicken is pierced and there should be no trace of pink in the stuffing. Once cooked remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute and results in a tender and juicy chicken.
